About Me
My name is Ryan Faerman (hence the domain name). I am a religious jew living in a non-jewish world trying to become a successful engineer and a productive member of society.
I live in South Florida with my family, and attend classes at Florida Atlantic University. I recently graduated from Broward Community College with my Associates degree. I intend to graduate as an Electrical Engineer (that is my major) with a minor (or second major) in Mathematics.
I am currently working with a pretty awesome company doing PHP and being a real geek in the process.
I drive a 2005 Honda Civic LX Coupe (two door), with a totally amazing sound system that my buddy Darius helped me put together. Despite the fact that I have only had my car for a relatively short period of time, I already have over 66k miles on it. Driving between 300 and 500 miles a week definitely won’t slow the growth of that number down much either.
In my spare time I try to find amusing yet complex things to play with and experiment on. Currently, I am learning circuitry and low level programming (programming ICs). One of my passions is learning and expanding my mind. I am incredibly curious about a vast many subjects, and to quote a coworker of mine, I am a “plethora of knowledge”.
Politically, I am relatively conservative. I think George W. Bush is a good president, that Jeb Bush was a great governor of Florida and I am rather opinionated. I have very little fear to speak my mind and am relatively open about my beliefs and thoughts.
After many years of hating it, my operating system of choice is Apple’s OS X. I’ve switched and have been a mac since the fall of 2004 or a little earlier (it seems like its been a very long time). While I do love my computers, I still believe you always choose the best tool for the job and it just happens to turn out that most of the time, an Apple computer is the best tool for that job.
